Project Description

Here's a little mantle clock in the Arts and Crafts style that you can build in a weekend. It’s a simple design from WoodSmith (issue #137) made mostly from QS White oak. It’s a good project to use up all those short boards you’ve been furrowing away.

I did not find a clock face that I felt did justice to a small A&C clock so I made my own. I designed it on the computer, printed it on ivory parchment index stock, and glued it to a 1/4 board. A couple of coats of spray-on poly, and the clock face is good to go. You can download my clock face in the downloads section of this project.

These little clocks are simple to make and are great to give as a gift. Give it a shot - make one for yourself!
