The old site was long overdue for a makeover. I started from scratch and tried to build a useful site that woodworker's at all skill levels could get something from.

The new design of the site presents woodworking information in the form of a Project. A Project is just that - a woodworking-related project. You will find that a project may have a video, an article, a picture gallery, or supporting files to download.

Navigating the site is setup up to be straight forward and simple. Use the buttons at the top of this page to browse the projects in a way that interests you. You can use the Projects tab to browse through projects by category. The Videos tab will show you all the projects that have a video. Similarly, the Gallery tab shows you all the projects that have a Picture Gallery. The Q&A tab are answers to woodoworking related questions that I receive via email or through this site.

Thanks for stopping by Eagle Lake, and a special thank you to those of you who have supported the site.

Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new site! Suggestions are welcome as well!

UPDATE 11/22/08 - I'm still working on updating the content in the site - adding descriptions, file downloads, etc.  There will be new content added daily, so check back often.

Hi Kim,  thanks for the nice comment.  We have a couple of things in common - we both like Rigid tools (have you seen their new granite top tablesaw...nice), and we both have a basement shop.  I actually like having my shop in the basement due to the temperate climate - it's pretty much the same year round, and it's great to work in when the weather gets nice outside.
Thanks for stopping by my site!

"HI" John,
Love your site...you do a great job explaining the projects. My shop is also in the basement, so I have limited space as well (don't all woodworkers wish for more space?) Like you, I have white pegboard on the walls and on the backs of the shelving units that divide my shop from my husbands "man-cave"! The pegboard also allows me to have all the necessary items stored within reach of the various tools. Neat and organized!! My Ridgid tools are all on wheels to allow me to store the unneeded tools out of the way while working on my project. I also have an air filter mounted from the ceiling to help control the fine sanding dust as well as paint and varnish odors.

Anthony,

Thanks a lot for letting me know.  The pool table zip file was indeed empty.  I put the correct version up there for download.  Let me know if there's any problem with the new file (or any others).  I've had some bugs to work out with the new site, so I really appreciate you posting here.
